The original DRRB units are allocated to Berlin-Wannsee (BWS) and it's sub-shed Oranienburg, whereas the updated VBB units are allocated to Berlin-Grünau (BGA), Berlin-Wannsee (BWS) and Berlin-Friedrichsfelde (BFF). As the refurbishment program progresses, 309 quarter (2-car) trains are planned to be modernised and renovated from 2019 to 2022.
