The 1967 tube stock was built by Metro-Cammell for the new Victoria line. All the trains were designed for automatic operation, although they could be driven manually in the depot or in an emergency. 1967 tube stock cars included wrapped-round windows in the drivers cab and extended windows in the doors, so that standing passengers could see the station name.
