Updates

SpotLog datasets are regularly updated by SpotLog's volunteer editors.  The app can download updates and keep your book data up-to-date.

When SpotLog is loaded, the app checks with the server for the status of any DataSets loaded.  The Sets page is updated to show the set status.

Updates are usually fairly quick: the app only downloads data changes, not the whole set data.

Automatic or Manual updates

On the Settings page you can enable automatic updates.

Auto-update On

• When the app is connected the internet by Wi-Fi, the app will automatically download updates for loaded sets.

Auto-update Off

• The app does not automatically update datasets.
• You can see the set status on the sets page and choose when to manually update sets.
