The company SVI S.p.A. was founded in 1999 in Città di Castello (PG) by the entrepreneurs Sambuchi Ivano and Vannoni Mauro (in Italian Sambuchi Ivano (S) Vannoni Mauro (V) Imprenditori (I) ). The aim was that of developing a company that could work in the field of “railway vehicles”, a brand that was rapidly developing thanks to the construction of the European high-speed railway network. 

Over the years SVI activities have developed and the company has become a manufacturer capable of managing the entire production cycle of railway vehicles.
