Since 1901 ROBEL has developed, manufactured and supplied track construction machines. Driven by the idea to optimise work on the track, ROBEL built track vehicles, followed by rail loading trains a bit later and sets initial steps beyond the country borders.
In 1989 the company premises in Munich literally reached its limits and ROBEL started to gradually move all its company divisions to the railway town of Freilassing.
In 2004, ROBEL expands its assembly and metalworking shop as well as warehousing facilities; it also builds a training facility. 330 staff manufacture around 100 prototypes of small and large machines and supply these all over the world.
