The oldtimer tram car without a roof, also called "Badwännli", may no longer drive for safety reasons, as reported by "Switzerland on Sunday". According to the BVB media office, the reason is that falling overhead contact lines could injure travelers. The “Badwännli”, built in 1938, was previously used for city tours. The decision of BVB criticize the former BVB director Daniel Oertli and SP-Großrat Jörg Vitelli.
